WOO HOO!!!

Monday, March 2nd, 2015
9:15 PM MST
The Last of the Little Birdies were set free!

Country Charmer is now in 3 separate pieces.
The top, with a few small repairs to do & a new border to add,
The batting which varied in thickness...big surprise...that will either become dog bed stuffing or be trashed.
And the back which will be inspected to see how much is salvageable for reuse.

Thank you, to all of my cheerleaders...

  2. That was a true labor of love Nancy. I can't imagine picking out the millions of stitches and live to tell about it without ending up in the looney bin!

    1. It's way too late to try to hide my looney, but so sweet of you to try to cover for me...even though you've been caught right in it's path!

  5. Well done! I had a similar job to do on a quilt I'd made for my sister. She said it was OK (I think she knew I was ready to bury it in the garden) but I, like you, decided to unpick it, and quilt it myself. Funny thing is, I really got into the unpicking lark -but the threads - sheesh. Glad you stuck with it, I love the pattern, it's on my list to do this year, I look forward to seeing the finished quilt - again. Elaine in England

  6. Fabulous! You must be thrilled to have reached the end of the unpicking. The quilt is just so darn pretty, it sings! Or is it the birdies I hear singing! Looking forward to seeing it progress quickly now!
